Answers to your questions about our big day

Where should we stay?
We have special rates at two hotels:
Parking & transportation
Rideshares are easy in the area. There is also plenty of on‑site parking available at the venue with validation provided by the venue.
Is there a welcome party?
Yes! All guests are invited to an informal welcome party at Eppig Brewing in Point Loma on Thursday, September 3, from 4 – 7 PM. Come and go as your schedule allows. See the Details page for parking tips and more.
Can we bring kids?
No kids this time—think of it as a big date night with all your friends! Get a sitter, grab a drink, and come ready to dance the night away.
What's the dress code?
We're so excited to celebrate with you! The dress code is formal to semi-formal (tea-length welcome!), with an optional nod to an east coast beach club vibe. The bridal party will be wearing beautiful shades of blue as well, so feel free to complement the palette if you'd like! Please skip the khaki shorts and Hawaiian shirts, but most importantly, choose something comfortable enough to dance the night away with us! 💃🕺🪩 Check out the Details page for inspiration pictures!
Will there be food options for dietary restrictions?
Yes! Please let us know your dietary needs when you RSVP and we'll make sure you're taken care of. Our taco bar will have vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options available.
When should I RSVP by?
Please RSVP by June 30, 2026 so we can finalize catering and seating arrangements. The sooner the better!
Is there a registry?
Yes! You can find our registry at The Knot. Your presence is the greatest gift, but if you'd like to give something, we'd truly appreciate it.
What is there to do in San Diego?
So much! We've put together a full guide of our favorite spots and classic San Diego attractions. Check out our San Diego recommendations →
Why are you changing your last name to Ryan?

We've decided to start this next chapter with a shared last name: Ryan.

Ryan is the last name of Alexander's step-grandfather, known to us as Bapa, who has been one of the most important people in his life. While not related by blood, you'd never know it. Bapa helped shape how Alexander sees the world (and even sparked his early love of technology), and his impact has been lasting in all the best ways.

Since the Ryan name wouldn't otherwise be carried on, this felt like a special way to honor him—and a meaningful name for us to share moving forward.

Plus, it keeps things nice and simple (goodbye, hyphen!). To keep a piece of where we each come from, we're both turning our original last names into our middle names.
